Amicus Settlement Planners works almost exclusively with personal injury attorneys and their settling clients.
For Plaintiff Attorneys. We work with personal injury attorneys for their own tax planning and investment planning to make sure they are not paying any more in income tax than they need to pay. We have products and services that are unique to contingency fee-based attorneys. In particular, we specialize in helping plaintiff attorneys establish their own private deferred compensation plans — a tax planning strategy unique to plaintiff attorneys (and one that a typical financial advisor or CPA has likely never heard of).
For Settling Plaintiffs. We specialize in settlement planning for the client’s needs. Our team is composed of attorneys, Certified Financial Planners (CFPs), Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), and Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA®)). We work with your clients to develop a settlement plan specifically tailored for them that incorporates all of their government benefits and investment needs.
If they need a structured settlement annuity for their lifetime, we have an annuity brokerage that can handle it. We have a separate law firm called the Amicus Law Firm which focuses on estate planning, and we have Amicus Settlement Planners for settlement planning and investment management.
In short, our goal is to be the one-stop-shop for plaintiff attorneys’ income tax planning, and for settling clients’ settlement proceeds planning.
There are many advisors out there who focus on a specific niche — some advisors who exclusively with dentists, some advisors work with doctors, etc. We are advisors who work solely with plaintiff attorney firms and their clients.
If you’re looking for a specialist, for someone who understands your practice and the unique challenges of being a contingency fee-based law firm, who understands the labyrinth of legal and financial issues that face settlement clients — give us a call. We’d love to be your trusted settlement planner and advisor.
